Product roadmaps are really customer roadmaps

They should be focused on what we are doing for our customers and users.

Roadmaps are customer focused – customer-centric.

Every release should have a goal that focuses on what you’re doing for the customer.

Stop using words like this in your goals:




Your customers and users don’t care that you are “developing” something… they care about VALUE.

By using these words we emphasize the action of developing and lose focus on what this is actually doing for your customer.

Try words like:
