About Elegant Agile

Elegant Agile Inc. is a coaching, training and consulting company focused on agile and lean practices.

My name is Pat Guariglia, and I am at the heart of Elegant Agile. I take a direct, thoughtful and pragmatic approach to guiding and coaching the people I work with.

Since 2010, I have worked with over 50 companies, and trained over 3,500 people across many different industries and product areas. Agile is at the core of my focus. Most engagements also include an emphasis on culture, leadership, and organizational structure.

Why Elegant Agile?

My approach and philosophy behind Elegant Agile is different than most agile coaching companies. I addition to focusing on the mechanical processes of agile, I focus on building a core base of values, principles, innovation and self organization. I couple this “cultural” approach with high-powered coaching/training of agile processes, i.e. Scrum and kanban.

I walk the walk, not just talk the talk

While being an agile coach, I’ve also been the founder of two startup companies, where I test every practice I ever teach or coach. All of my skills and experience are put to practical use with each startup. I have a deeper understanding of what it takes to be a lean startup and teach others how to think that way too.

Almost any organizational, structural or cultural challenge can be overcome when clear goals are defined. People focus like a laser on a vision, and teams are trusted and empowered.

The backstory

In 2010, I decided to leave a steady career and focus completely on helping others use agile to improve themselves, their teams and their products. I would not have taken that risk if I didn’t believe (100%) in myself and that agile is the philosophy and approach that is the best way to build products and empower people.
